First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove patient to fresh air-move out of dangerous area. If victim has difficulties with breathing or is not breathing give artificial respiration. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

Symptoms: Vapours may cause drowsiness and dizziness. Irritating to the airways.

Skin contact

Wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap! If feeling unwell seek medical help.

Symptoms: May cause sensitisation by skin contact. Irritating to the skin.

Eye contact

Immediately flush eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes, keeping eyelids open. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

Symptoms: Danger of serious eye injury.

Ingestion

Consult a physician. Show the physician the Safety Data Sheet or label. Rinse mouth with water. Do not provoke vomiting, seek medical advice first.

Symptoms: Harmful if swallowed.
