First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately.

Symptoms: respiratory irritation

Skin contact

Immediately wash skin with plenty of soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.

Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids.

Give 3-4 cups of water. If vomiting occurs, give fluid again. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

May ignite or explode on contact with steam or moist air. Aluminium powder may evolve hydrogen gas in contact with water and finely divided dust may be ignited by naked lights or sparks. Bulk dust when damp with water may heat spontaneously. Hazard greater as fineness increases.
