First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, oxygen should be administered by qualified personnel. Move to fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.

Skin contact

Rinse with running water and soap. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Thoroughly clean shoes before reuse. Discard any shoes or clothing items that cannot be decontaminated. If symptoms develop and persist, get medical attention.

Eye contact

Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention immediately.

Ingestion

Seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Immediate Medical Attention

Seek medical attention immediately for eye contact and ingestion.

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Water spray (fog), foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

Unsuitable media

Not available.

Specific hazards

Closed containers may rupture (due to build up of pressure) when exposed to extreme heat.

Instructions

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing, such as turn-out gear. Keep unnecessary personnel away. In case of fire, keep containers cool with water spray.

Firefighter Protection

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing, such as turn-out gear.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Use personal protection recommended in Section 8, isolate the hazard area and deny entry to unnecessary and unprotected personnel.

Environmental

Do not allow product to enter sewer or waterways.

Cleanup methods

Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust). Scrape up as much material as possible.

Materials: sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust

Stability and Reactivity

Chemical stability, hazardous reactions, and incompatible materials

Stability

Stable under normal conditions of storage and use.

Reactivity

Not available.

Hazardous reactions

None under normal processing. Polymerization is a highly exothermic reaction and may generate sufficient heat to cause thermal decomposition and/or rupture containers.

Avoid

Keep away from heat, ignition sources and incompatible materials. Protect from direct sunlight. Avoid temperatures above 38°C (100°F). Excessive heat. Avoid mixing resin (Part A) and curing agent (Part B) unless you plan to use immediately. Failure to observe these precautions may result in excessive heat build-up causing an exotherm.

Incompatible

Oxidizing agents. Acids and bases. Water. Amines. Acrylates. Alcohols. Nitrites. Copper. Copper alloys.

Decomposition

Oxides of carbon. Oxides of nitrogen. Toxic fumes. Irritating vapors. Hydrocarbons Amines. Ammonia.
