First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove victim immediately from source of exposure. Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.

Symptoms: Irritation of nose, throat and airway.

Skin contact

Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash skin with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation persists after washing.

Symptoms: Prolonged contact may cause redness, irritation and dry skin.

Eye contact

Immediately flush with plenty of water for up to 15 minutes. Remove any contact lenses and open eyes wide apart. Get medical attention immediately. Continue to rinse.

Symptoms: May cause temporary eye irritation.

Ingestion

Immediately rinse mouth and drink plenty of water (200-300 ml). DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! Get medical attention immediately!

Symptoms: Nausea, vomiting.

Immediate Medical Attention

Get medical attention if any discomfort continues (inhalation). Get medical attention immediately (ingestion). Get medical attention if irritation persists after washing (skin). Get medical attention immediately (eye).
