Composition / Information on Ingredients

Chemical components, concentration ranges, and hazardous substance identification

Type mixture

A blend of highly refined mineral oils with multifunctional additives.

For the wording of the listed hazard phrases refer to section 16.

04

First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of complaints.

Skin contact

Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.

Eye contact

Check for and remove any contact lenses. Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Then consult a doctor.

Ingestion

Wash mouth out with water. Do not induce vomiting; call for medical help immediately. If vomiting occurs spontaneously, keep head below hips to prevent aspiration.

Immediate Medical Attention

Call for medical help immediately (in case of swallowing). High pressure injection injuries of mineral and synthetic oils through the skin require prompt surgical intervention.

Medical Treatment

High pressure injection injuries of mineral and synthetic oils through the skin require prompt surgical intervention and possibly steroid therapy, to minimise tissue damage and loss of function. Because entry wounds are small and do not reflect the seriousness of the underlying damage, surgical exploration to determine the extent of involvement may be necessary. Prompt surgical decompression, debridement and evacuation of foreign material should be performed under general anaesthetics, and wide exploration is essential.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.

Unsuitable media

Water with full jet

Specific hazards

Combustible

Firefighter Protection

Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Wear fully protective suit.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Particular danger of slipping on leaked/spilled product.

Environmental

Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil. Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.

Cleanup methods

Absorb with liquid-binding material

Materials: sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust

07

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Prevent formation of aerosols. Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.

Storage

Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed receptacles.

Fire prevention

No special measures required.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Hands

The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation. The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. As the product is a preparation of several substances, the resistance of the glove material can not be calculated in advance and has therefore to be checked prior to the application. The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

Eyes

Safety glasses. Goggles recommended during refilling

Respiratory

Not necessary if room is well-ventilated.

Skin/Body

Oil resistant protective clothing. Body protection must be chosen depending on product properties, activity and possible exposure.
