First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

remove patient from exposure and give fresh air and rest. If the patient continues to feel unwell, obtain medical attention.

Symptoms: irritation of the airways

Skin contact

remove contaminated clothing and wash affected area with soap and water. If irritation occurs, seek medical attention. Launder contaminated clothing before re-use.

irrigate with water for 15 minutes, occasionally lifting eyelids. Seek prompt medical attention.

wash out mouth thoroughly and give water to drink. Seek medical attention if swallowed. Do not induce vomiting, unless instructed by medical personnel.
