First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Transport the person into fresh air, keep warm and allow to rest.
Symptoms: mild throat irritation
Immediately remove all soiled or stained clothing. Wash the affected area immediately and repeatedly with soap and water.
Keep eyes open and rinse immediately and repeatedly with water for at least 15 minutes. Check for and remove any contact lenses. Rinse eyes. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.
Symptoms: eye irritation
Give nothing to drink. Do not induce vomiting to avoid the risk of aspiration into respiratory tract.
Symptoms: Possible risk of vomiting and diarrhea.
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
Carbon dioxide (CO₂), dry powder, foam.
Do not use water stream as it may scatter and spread fire
Incomplete combustion and thermolysis may produce gases of varying toxicity such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, various hydrocarbons, aldehydes and soot. These may be highly dangerous if inhaled in confined spaces or at high concentration.
Firefighter Protection
Insulated breathing apparatus must be worn in confined premises with heavy concentrations of fumes and gases. Wear protective clothing.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
In case of land spillage on land, do not allow the product to enter in sewers or rivers or contaminate the soil.
Contain and collect the spilled product with sand or any other inert absorbent material.
Materials: sand or any other inert absorbent material

Handling and Storage
Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements
Ventilate extensively if the formation of vapors, fumes, mists or aerosol is a risk. Do not breath vapours or spray mist. Avoid any skin, eye or clothe contact. Wash thoroughly after handling and before eating, drinking, or using tobacco.
Store in a well-ventilated place, immune from weather and source of ignition. Store ideally in the original packaging. Otherwise, choose a hydrocarbon compatible packaging and the proper labelling on the new packaging. Keep the container tightly closed and sealed
Wash thoroughly after handling and before eating, drinking, or using tobacco.
Avoid the build-up of potentially dangerous electrostatic charges. Must be grounded, Settle an equipotential bonding between the receptacles, the storages and the transfer/reception equipment
Exposure Controls / PPE
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment
Ensure adequate ventilation. Do not enter empty storage tanks until measurements of available oxygen have been carried out. When working in confined spaces (tanks, containers, etc.), ensure that there is a supply of air suitable for breathing
Hydrocarbon-proof gloves: nitrile rubber, fluorinated rubber. In the event of a prolonged contact with the product, the wearing of gloves in accordance with the EN 420 and EN 374 gloves is recommended, with a protection period of 480 minutes and a minimum thickness of 0.38 mm. Note: those are indicative value. The protection level is ensured by the glove material, its technical characteristics, the resistance to the chemical product used, the conformity of its usage and its replacement frequency. The gloves wearing must be associate with a specific activity formation
If splashes are likely to occur, wear safety glasses with side-shields or face-shield
To enter tankers, tanks, reservoirs where the oxygen content is too low, wear insulating respiratory apparatus. Breathing apparatus with combined filter vapors/particles (EN14387) A/P2 type. The use of breathing apparatus has to be in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer and in accordance with the regulation that govern its choice and use
Wear appropriate protection clothes, safety boots or shoes, long sleeves protection clothes
