First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a doctor. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention immediately.
Symptoms: Coughing and/ or wheezing. Difficulty in breathing.
Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water while removing all contaminated clothes and shoes. If symptoms persist, call a doctor.
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Keep eye wide open while rinsing. Do not rub affected area. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
Symptoms: irritation
Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention.
Immediate Medical Attention
Get medical attention immediately for inhalation. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists for eye contact. Get medical attention for ingestion.
Medical Treatment
Treat symptomatically.
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
Dry chemical. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Water spray. Alcohol resistant foam.
Do not scatter spilled material with high pressure water streams.
Keep product and empty container away from heat and sources of ignition. Risk of ignition.
CAUTION: Use of water spray when fighting fire may be inefficient.
Firefighter Protection
Firefighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full firefighting turnout gear. Use personal protection equipment.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Use personal protective equipment as required. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Avoid breathing vapours or mists.
Refer to protective measures listed in Sections 7 and 8. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Prevent product from entering drains.
Dam up. Soak up with inert absorbent material. Pick up and transfer to properly labelled containers.
Materials: inert absorbent material
