First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Remove casualty to fresh air and keep warm and at rest. In case of respiratory tract irritation, consult a physician. If unconscious but breathing normally, place in recovery position and seek medical advice.
Remove contaminated, saturated clothing immediately. Wash off any skin contamination immediately. Get immediate medical advice/attention.
Symptoms: Minor irritation.
Rinse immediately carefully and thoroughly with eye-bath or water. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Consult an ophthalmologist. Transport to the ophthalmologist or eye clinic as soon as possible. Continue rinsing with isotonic saline solution during transport, alternatively with water.
Symptoms: Conjunctival redness.
Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Immediately call a POISON CENTRE/doctor. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person or a person with cramps.
Immediate Medical Attention
Get immediate medical advice/attention (skin contact). Consult an ophthalmologist (eye contact). Immediately call a POISON CENTRE/doctor (ingestion).

Wear personal protection equipment (refer to section 8). Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Avoid breathing dust/mist. Provide adequate ventilation. Keep away from sources of heat (e.g. hot surfaces), sparks and open flames. Remove victim out of the danger area.
Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents).
Take up mechanically.
Cover drains. Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains. Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. Do not allow entering drains or surface water. Explosion risk.
Clear spills immediately. Collect in closed and suitable containers for disposal.
Materials: liquid-binding material (sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents)
