Good general ventilation and/or local exhaust ventilation should be provided in areas where there is handling of Loaded Zeolite in open systems (e.g., dispensing from drums). Provide fire extinguishers, fire hoses and natural or forced air ventilation (at least 2 air changes per hour. Process Safety Manual for fire protection requirements.

Use rubber gloves for direct contact.

Wear dust / particle type mask; use in hood or well ventilated area.

Avoid unnecessary skin contact. Contaminated clothing and footwear should be removed and thoroughly cleaned before reuse.

Zeolite itself does not readily decompose, unless subject to extreme temperature or chemical conditions. Carbon monoxide / dioxide and other products of combustion will be generated if this material is involved in a fire situation.
