Instantly wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.

Eye contact

Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Seek medical treatment.

Ingestion

Call a doctor immediately.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

CO2, extinguishing powder or water jet. Fight larger fires with water jet or alcohol-resistant foam.

Specific hazards

Can be released in case of fire: Carbon monoxide (CO), Nitrogen oxides (NOx). Under certain fire conditions, traces of other toxic gases cannot be excluded, e.g.: Hydrogen cyanide (HCN)

Firefighter Protection

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Environmental

Prevent material from reaching sewage system, holes and cellars.

Cleanup methods

Absorb with liquid-binding material

Materials: sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust

07

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Prevent formation of aerosols.

Storage

Store only in the original container. Keep container tightly sealed.

Fire prevention

No special measures required.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

No further data; see item 7.

Hands

Protective gloves. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation. After use of gloves apply skin-cleaning agents and skin cosmetics. Material of gloves: Butyl rubber, BR, Nitrile rubber, NBR. The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. As the product is a preparation of several substances, the resistance of the glove material can not be calculated in advance and has therefore to be checked prior to the application. Penetration time of glove material: Nitril ≥ 0,40 mm ≥ 480min. The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.

Eyes

Safety glasses. Tightly sealed safety glasses.

Respiratory

Short term filter device: In case of brief exposure or low pollution use breathing filter apparatus. In case of intensive or longer exposure use breathing apparatus that is independent of circulating air.

Skin/Body

Protective work clothing.
