First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

In case of inhalation, consult a doctor immediately and show him packing or label.

Skin contact

OBTAIN IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION. Remove contaminated clothing immediately and dispose off safely. Wash thoroughly the body (shower or bath). After contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and plenty of water.

Eye contact

After contact with the eyes, rinse with water with the eyelids open for a sufficient length of time, then consult an ophthalmologist immediately. Protect uninjured eye.

Ingestion

Do not under any circumstances induce vomiting. OBTAIN A MEDICAL EXAMINATION IMMEDIATELY.

Immediate Medical Attention

OBTAIN IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION. Consult a doctor immediately. Consult an ophthalmologist immediately. OBTAIN A MEDICAL EXAMINATION IMMEDIATELY.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

In case of fire: use dry powder, CO2, foam for extinction.

Unsuitable media

Never use water.

Specific hazards

Do not inhale explosion and combustion gases. Burning produces heavy smoke. When heated (decomposition) or in case of fire may liberate carbon oxides, gases and vapors which are dangerous to health.

Instructions

Move undamaged containers from immediate hazard area if it can be done safely.

Firefighter Protection

Use suitable breathing apparatus.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Wear personal protection equipment. Remove all sources of ignition. Wear breathing apparatus if exposed to vapours/dusts/aerosols. Provide adequate ventilation. Use appropriate respiratory protection.

Environmental

Do not allow to enter into soil/subsoil. Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains. Retain contaminated washing water and dispose it.

07

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Avoid contact with skin and eyes, inhalation of vapours and mists. Exercise the greatest care when handling or opening the container. Don't use empty container before they have been cleaned. Before making transfer operations, assure that there aren't any incompatible material residuals in the containers.

Storage

Store at below 20 °C. Keep away from unguarded flame and heat sources. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Keep away from food, drink and feed. Cool and adequately ventilated.

Hygiene

Contamined clothing should be changed before entering eating areas. Do not eat or drink while working.

Fire prevention

Keep away from unguarded flame, sparks, and heat sources.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Always provide good ventilation to maintain air contaminants below exposure limits (it is advisable to work under vacuum system). Install a closed circuit with forced ventilation if possible; failing this, use personal protective equipment suitable for the type of processing. The emissions from ventilation or work process equipment should be checked to ensure compliance with the directives of the binding legislation on environmental protection.

Hands

NBR (nitrile rubber). 0,4-0,6 mm

Eyes

Use close fitting safety goggles, don't use eye lens.

Respiratory

Mask with filter "A", brown colour

Skin/Body

Chemical protection clothing.

Environmental

Prevent spills into public sewers or the immediate environment. Do not empty into drains; dispose of this material and its container at a collection point for hazardous waste and in accordance with local regulations. Refer to applicable national and Community legislation concerning environmental protection, waste water, soil pollution and integrated pollution prevention and control (ex. IPPC). Check whether the activity that uses the product falls within the scope of Directive 96/61/EC (IPPC). The emissions from ventilation or work process equipment should be checked to ensure compliance with the directives of the binding legislation on environmental protection. In some cases, to reduce emissions, might be needed maintenance or technical plant modifications.
