First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration. In case of inhalation, consult a doctor immediately and show him packing or label.
Remove contaminated clothing immediately and dispose off safely. Wash thoroughly the body (shower or bath). After contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and plenty of water.
After contact with the eyes, rinse with water with the eyelids open for a sufficient length of time, then consult an ophthalmologist immediately. Protect uninjured eye.
Do NOT induce vomiting.
Immediate Medical Attention
In case of accident or unwellness, seek medical advice immediately (show directions for use or safety data sheet if possible).
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
In case of fire: use dry powder, CO2, foam for extinction.
Water. In case of fire of insoluble products / immiscible in water, the use of water, increase the risk of propagation of the area of fire.
Do not inhale explosion and combustion gases. Burning produces heavy smoke. When heated (decomposition) or in case of fire may liberate carbon oxides, gases and vapors which are dangerous to health.
Move undamaged containers from immediate hazard area if it can be done safely.
Firefighter Protection
Use suitable breathing apparatus.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Wear personal protection equipment. Remove all sources of ignition. Provide adequate ventilation.
Do not allow to enter into soil/subsoil. Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains. Retain contaminated washing water and dispose it.
Wash with plenty of water.
Materials: absorbing material, organic, sand

Handling and Storage
Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements
Avoid contact with skin and eyes, inhalation of vapours and mists. Don't use empty container before they have been cleaned. Before making transfer operations, assure that there aren't any incompatible material residuals in the containers. Contamined clothing should be changed before entering eating areas. Do not eat or drink while working.
Always keep the containers tightly closed. Always keep in a well ventilated place. Keep away from unguarded flame, sparks, and heat sources. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Keep away from food, drink and feed. Cool and adequately ventilated.
Contamined clothing should be changed before entering eating areas. Do not eat or drink while working.
Keep away from unguarded flame, sparks, and heat sources.
Exposure Controls / PPE
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment
Always provide good ventilation to maintain air contaminants below exposure limits (it is advisable to work under vacuum system). See also section 7 and section 13. Install a closed circuit with forced ventilation if possible; failing this, use personal protective equipment suitable for the type of processing.
Use protective gloves that provides comprehensive protection, e.g. P.V.C., neoprene or rubber. Protective gloves (EN 374): in case risk of skin contact with the product, the use of protective gloves checked according to EN 374, is considered sufficient protection. Protective gloves should be tested before use to verify their suitability with respect to the specific needs of the workplace (eg mechanical stability, chemical compatibility and antistatic properties). Follow the manufacturer's instructions and information relating to the use, storage, care and replacement of protective gloves. Protective gloves shall be replaced immediately when physically damaged or worn. Protection depends on factors such as: nature of the product, temperature of use, glove thickness and immersion time.
Eye glasses with side protection.
Use adequate protective respiratory equipment. Ensure good ventilation to maintain air contaminants below exposure limits. Use respiratory protection filters for gas / vapor (Type A / AX brown, ref. Standard EN 141) as a function of the levels of occupational exposure to chemical agents.
Chemical protection clothing.
Prevent spills into public sewers or the immediate environment. Do not empty into drains; dispose of this material and its container at a collection point for hazardous waste and in accordance with local regulations. Refer to applicable national and Community legislation concerning environmental protection, waste water, soil pollution and integrated pollution prevention and control (ex. IPPC). Check whether the activity that uses the product falls within the scope of Directive 96/61/EC (IPPC). The emissions from ventilation or work process equipment should be checked to ensure compliance with the directives of the binding legislation on environmental protection. In some cases, to reduce emissions, might be needed maintenance or technical plant modifications.
