Inhalation

Remove person immediately to fresh air.

Medical Treatment

In the treatment of ethylene glycol overdose, ethanol competitively inhibits alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and prevents the formation of toxic metabolites. The affinity of ethylene glycol for ADH appears to be similar to ethanol. Ethanol should be administered only by qualified medical personnel.
