First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Move the exposed person to fresh air, keep person warm in a comfortable position and call for medical attention.

Skin contact

Wash hands/skin with soap and water. If irritation persists seek medical advice.

Symptoms: Irritation

Eye contact

Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention if irritation persists.

Ingestion

Wash out mouth thoroughly with water. Do NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Seek medical attention.

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Water spray/fog, foam, carbon dioxide and dry powder.

In the event of a large fire toxic fumes containing oxides of carbon may be formed.

Firefighter Protection

Standard protective equipment should be worn by firefighters. In the event of a large fire, the use of a self-contained breathing apparatus is necessitated.
