First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Keep the affected person warm and at rest. Get prompt medical attention. If breathing is irregular or stopped, trained personnel may give artificial respiration. Give nothing by mouth. If unconscious place in recovery position, and seek medical attention.
Remove affected person from source of contamination. Remove contaminated clothing and launder before reuse. Wash immediately with soap and water DO NOT use solvent or thinners Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Remove victim immediately from source of exposure. Make sure to remove any contact lenses from the eyes before rinsing. Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eye lids. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention.
Get medical attention immediately! Rinse mouth thoroughly. Provide rest, warmth and fresh air. If conscious, give water or milk to dilute chemical and seek medical attention. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! NEVER MAKE AN UNCONSCIOUS PERSON VOMIT OR DRINK FLUIDS!
Immediate Medical Attention
Get medical attention immediately! (for ingestion), Get prompt medical attention (for inhalation), Get medical attention if any discomfort continues (for skin).
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
Carbon dioxide (CO2), alcohol resistant foam, dry powder, water spray/mist/fog
Water jets
May develop highly toxic or corrosive fumes if heated. Vapours are heavier than air and may spread near ground to sources of ignition.
Use water spray to cool fire exposed surfaces and protect personnel.
Firefighter Protection
Wear self contained breathing apparatus with full face piece in pressure demand or other positive pressure mode if exposure is likely. Wear self contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Warn others of the dangers present and exclude non-essential personnel.
Inform local authorities of large spillages where there is contamination of water courses.
Prevent access to drains, sewers, waterways and soil.
Transfer to suitable container for disposal. Wash spillage site with water and detergent.
Materials: water and detergent

Handling and Storage
Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements
Avoid spilling, skin and eye contact. Avoid inhalation of vapour/spray, use personal protective equipment if exposure limits can't be controlled with forced or natural ventilation. The use of barrier cream on exposed skin is recommended. Do NOT use solvents for washing skin. When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Never use pressure to empty; the container is not a pressure vessel. Always keep in containers of the same material as the supply container.
Keep in cool, dry, ventilated storage and closed containers. Keep containers tightly closed.
The use of barrier cream on exposed skin is recommended. Do NOT use solvents for washing skin. When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame.
Exposure Controls / PPE
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment
Provide adequate ventilation. Where reasonably practicable this should be achieved by local exhaust ventilation.
Use protective gloves made of: Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). Viton rubber (fluor rubber). A barrier cream is recommended but NOT as a substitute for gloves.
Wear approved eye protection according to BS 2092 or equivalent standard.
If exposure limits are likely to be exceeded Wear Chemical respirator with Organic Vapour Cartridge. During spraying operations always Wear Supplied air respiratory protection. Dry sanding, flame cutting and/or welding of the dry paint film will give rise to dust and/or hazardous fumes. Wet sanding should be used wherever possible. If exposure cannot be avoided by the provision of local exhaust ventilation, suitable respiratory protective equipment should be worn.
Cotton or cotton/synthetic overalls or coveralls are normally suitable.
