Inhalation

Seek fresh air, wash out mouth with water and blow nose thoroughly. Seek medical advice in case of persistent discomfort.

Skin contact

Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with soap and water. Seek medical advice in case of persistent discomfort.

Eye contact

Flush immediately with water (preferably using eye wash equipment) for at least 5 minutes. Open eye wide. Remove any contact lenses. Seek medical advice.

Symptoms: Irritating to eyes. Causes a burning sensation and tearing.

Ingestion

Wash out mouth thoroughly and drink 1-2 glasses of water in small sips. Seek medical advice in case of persistent discomfort.

Immediate Medical Attention

No special immediate treatment required.

Medical Treatment

Treat symptoms.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Extinguish with powder, foam or water mist. Use water or water mist to cool non-ignited stock.

Unsuitable media

Do not use a jet of water, as it may spread the fire.

Specific hazards

Not flammable, but combustible. The product decomposes when combusted and the following toxic gases can be formed: Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide/ Nitrous gases/ Sulphur oxides.

Instructions

Use water or water mist to cool non-ignited stock.

Firefighter Protection

Wear Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) with chemical resistant gloves.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Stay upwind/keep distance from source.

Small spill

Wipe up minor spills with a damp cloth.

Environmental

Prevent spillage from entering drains and/or surface water.

Cleanup methods

Sweep up/collect spills for possible reuse or transfer to suitable waste containers. Wipe up minor spills with a damp cloth.

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

A risk assessment must assure that employees are not exposed to effects from carcinogenic, mutagenic, or reproductive toxic substances. Special work clothes must be worn. A risk assessment must ensure that employees are not exposed to effects which might pose a risk by pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Storage

To be stored safely out of reach of children. Keep in tightly closed original packaging. Store in a dry area. Avoid direct sunlight.

Hygiene

Neither smoking, eating nor drinking is allowed in the work room. Work clothes, personal protective equipment and private clothes must be stored separately. Do not carry work clothes and personal protective equipment during lunch breaks. There must be an easy access to washing and toilet facilities. Wash hands before breaks, before using restroom facilities, and at the end of work.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Use the product under well-ventilated conditions, preferably outdoors. Wear the personal protective equipment specified below.

Hands

In the event of direct skin contact, wear protective gloves: Type of material and thickness: Nitrile rubber. 0,38 mm. Penetration time: >8 hours. The suitability and durability of a glove is dependant on usage, e.g. frequency and duration of contact, glove material thickness, functionality and chemical resistance. Always seek advice from the glove supplier.

Eyes

Wear safety goggles.

Respiratory

Use process ventilation. If this is not possible, use respiratory equipment. Filter type: A. P.

Environmental

Ensure compliance with local regulations for emissions.
