Composition / Information on Ingredients

Chemical components, concentration ranges, and hazardous substance identification

Type mixture

The components are not hazardous or are below required disclosure limits.

04

First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Move to fresh air. For breathing difficulties, oxygen may be necessary. If breathing stops, provide artificial respiration. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell. Do not use mouth-to-mouth method if victim inhaled the substance. Induce artificial respiration with the aid of a pocket mask equipped with a one-way valve or other proper respiratory medical device.

Skin contact

Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.

Eye contact

Flush eyes immediately with large amounts of water. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention immediately.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth thoroughly. Do not induce vomiting without advice from poison control center. If vomiting occurs, keep head low so that stomach content doesn't get into the lungs. Do not use mouth-to-mouth method if victim ingested the substance. Induce artificial respiration with the aid of a pocket mask equipped with a one-way valve or other proper respiratory medical device. If ingestion of a large amount does occur, call a poison control center immediately.

Immediate Medical Attention

Get medical attention immediately (for eye contact). If ingestion of a large amount does occur, call a poison control center immediately.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Water spray, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide.

Unsuitable media

Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.

Specific hazards

Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases.

Instructions

Use water spray to cool unopened containers.

Firefighter Protection

Wear full protective clothing, including helmet, self-contained positive pressure or pressure demand breathing apparatus, protective clothing and face mask.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Keep unnecessary personnel away. Avoid inhalation of dust from the spilled material. Wear appropriate protective equipment and clothing during clean-up. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Environmental

Avoid release to the environment.

Cleanup methods

Shovel into dry containers. Cover and move the containers. Flush the area with water.

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Keep formation of airborne dusts to a minimum. Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid prolonged exposure. Wear personal protective equipment.

Storage

Store in tightly closed original container in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep away from food, drink and animal feedingstuffs. Use care in handling/storage. Store in accordance with local/regional/national/international regulation.

Hygiene

Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid prolonged exposure.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Good general ventilation (typically 10 air changes per hour) should be used. Ventilation rates should be matched to conditions. If applicable, use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to maintain airborne levels below recommended exposure limits. If exposure limits have not been established, maintain airborne levels to an acceptable level.

Hands

Wear protective gloves.

Eyes

Wear safety glasses with side shields.

Respiratory

When workers are facing concentrations above the exposure limit they must use appropriate certified respirators.
