Emergency First Aid Measures
Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies
๐ซ Inhalation Exposure
Move the affected person away from the contaminated area and into the fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Place the victim in the recovery position. Call a physician immediately.
๐๏ธ Skin Contact
Remove all contaminated clothing and footwear. Wash with soapy water. In case of redness or irritation, call a doctor.
Symptoms:
Redness or irritation.
๐๏ธ Eye Contact
Rinse immediately and thoroughly, pulling the eyelids well away from the eye (15 minutes minimum). Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If irritation persists, consult an eye specialist.
Symptoms:
Irritation.
๐ฝ๏ธ Ingestion/Swallowing
Rinse mouth out with water. Never attempt to induce vomiting. Keep at rest. Get medical advice/attention. If possible show this sheet, if not available show packaging or label.
๐จ Immediate Medical Attention Required
Call a physician immediately (for inhalation if not breathing). If irritation persists (for eyes), consult an eye specialist. In case of redness or irritation (for skin), call a doctor. Get medical advice/attention (for ingestion).
Medical Treatment
Treat symptomatically.
