First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove casualty to fresh air and keep warm and at rest. Provide fresh air.

Skin contact

No special measures are necessary.

Medical Treatment

Treat symptomatically. Where appropriate artificial ventilation.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

ABC-powder Carbon dioxide (CO2) Water spray jet

Instructions

Co-ordinate fire-fighting measures to the fire surroundings. Use water spray jet to cool endangered containers.

Firefighter Protection

In case of fire: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Use water spray jet to protect personnel.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

For non-emergency personnel: Provide adequate ventilation. Remove all sources of ignition. Be aware that gases can spread at ground level (heavier than air) and pay attention to the wind direction. For emergency responders: Ensure adequate ventilation.

Environmental

Suppress gases/vapours/mists with water spray jet.

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

If local exhaust ventilation is not possible or not sufficient, the entire working area should be ventilated by technical means. No special measures are necessary. Handle and open container with care. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. The product is not: Combustible. The product is: oxidising. Usual measures for fire prevention. Avoid effect of heat. Do not inhale gases.

Storage

Keep/Store only in original container. Keep container tightly closed. Ensure adequate ventilation of the storage area. Do not store with chemicals. Keep only in the original container in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Handle and open container with care. Protect pressurised gas bottles against overturning. Storage temperature may not exceed 50°C (=122°F).

Hygiene

When using do not eat, drink, smoke, sniff. Work in rooms with good ventilation. Wash hands before breaks and after work.

Fire prevention

Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Usual measures for fire prevention. Avoid effect of heat.
