Suitable media

Carbon dioxide. Foam. Dry powder.

Unsuitable media

None in particular.

Instructions

Cool the containers with jet water, even after the fire is extinguished. Remove the containers from the fire area if this can be done safely.

Firefighter Protection

Cool the containers with jet water, even after the fire is extinguished. Remove the containers from the fire area if this can be done safely.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Ventilate spillage area. Evacuate area. Remove all sources of ignition. Evacuate unnecessary personnel.

Environmental

Avoid release to the environment.

Cleanup methods

Collect spilled material in containers. Where appropriate, moisten to prevent the dispersion of dust, absorb with inert materials and wash the area with plenty of water. Send to the storage waiting for disposal procedures.
