First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Fresh air, rest in half sitting position. Seek medical advice.

Symptoms: Corrosive. Sore throat. Cough. Shortness of breath. May cause inflammation of the respiratory system (pulmonary oedema).

Skin contact

Rinse affected area thoroughly with water to remove concentrated product. Remove contaminated clothing. Seek medical attention immediately.

Symptoms: Corrosive. Causes severe burns.

Eye contact

Rinse immediately and for at least 15 minutes with copious amounts of water (also assure adequate flushing under the eyelids and if possible after having removed contact lenses). Bring the victim to an ophthalmist.

Symptoms: Irritation to eyes. Corrosion, redness, pain. Vapours may be irritating to eyes and may cause corneal damage.

Ingestion

Wash out mouth and do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.

Symptoms: Corrosive. Diarrhea. Vomiting. Cramps.

Immediate Medical Attention

Seek medical advice (inhalation), seek medical attention immediately (skin), bring the victim to an ophthalmist (eyes), seek medical attention (ingestion).

Medical Treatment

Consider to administer a cortisone spray in advance.
