Het handschoenmateriaal moet ondoorlatend en bestand zijn tegen het product. Op grond van falende testen kan geen aanbeveling voor handschoenmateriaal voor het product afgegeven worden. Kies handschoenmateriaal rekening houdend met de penetratietijden, de permeatiegraden en de degradatie. Wanneer handcontact met het product kan plaatsvinden, uitgaande van een langdurig contact van maximaal 15 minuten, bieden handschoenen van de volgende materialen volgens DIN EN 374 voldoende bescherming: - butylrubber (dikte > 0,5 mm) - nitrilrubber (dikte > 0,35 mm) - polychloropreenrubber (dikte > 0,4 mm). Voor continu contact bevelen wij handschoenen aan met een doorbraaktijd van minstens 240 minuten. De voorkeur wordt gegeven aan een doorbraaktijd van meer dan 480 minuten. Butylrubber handschoenen met een dikte van 0,7 mm zijn dan geschikt. De keuze van een geschikte handschoen is niet alleen afhankelijk van het materiaal, maar ook van andere kwaliteitskenmerken en verschilt van fabrikant tot fabrikant. Aangezien het product uit meerdere stoffen is samengesteld, is de duurzaamheid van de handschoenmaterialen niet vooraf berekenbaar en moet derhalve vr het gebruik worden getest. De precieze penetratietijd kunt u te weten komen bij de handschoenfabrikant; houd er rekening mee.
