Het handschoenmateriaal moet ondoorlatend en bestand zijn tegen het product / de stof / de bereiding. Op grond van falende testen kan geen aanbeveling voor handschoenmateriaal voor het product / de bereiding / het chemicaliënmengsel afgegeven worden. Kies handschoenmateriaal rekening houdend met de penetratietijden, de permeatiegraden en de degradatie. De gekozen beschermhandschoenen moeten voldoen aan de specificaties van EU-Richtlijn 89/686/EEG en de daaruit voortkomende norm EN374 voldoen. De keuze van een geschikte handschoen is niet alleen afhankelijk van het materiaal, maar ook van andere kwaliteitskenmerken en verschilt van fabrikant tot fabrikant. De doorbraak, onder andere, afhankelijk van het materiaal dichtheid en het type handschoenen en daarom moet worden bepaald in elk individueel geval. Handschoenen voor gebruik goed controleren. Geval van slijtage vervangen! Ondoordringbare handschoenen: nitril rubber, minimale dikte van 0,3 mm. De precieze penetratietijd kunt u te weten komen bij de handschoenfabrikant; houd er rekening mee.
