Emergency First Aid Measures

Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies

๐Ÿซ Inhalation Exposure

Provide fresh air. If breathing is difficult, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. In case of allergic symptoms, especially in the breathing area, seek medical advice immediately.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Skin Contact

Wash with plenty of water. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Eye Contact

Rinse immediately carefully and thoroughly with eye-bath or water. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Do not subject to friction. In case of eye irritation consult an ophthalmologist.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Ingestion/Swallowing

Do NOT induce vomiting. Observe risk of aspiration if vomiting occurs. Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person or a person with cramps. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.

๐Ÿšจ Immediate Medical Attention Required

Exposure Controls & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and required safety equipment

๐Ÿญ Engineering Controls

Provide adequate ventilation as well as local exhaustion at critical locations.

๐Ÿงค Hand Protection

Sanding: Wear suitable gloves tested to EN374. (cut-resistant) Before using check leak tightness / impermeability. When handling with chemical substances, protective gloves must be worn with the CE-label including the four control digits. The quality of the protective gloves resistant to chemicals must be chosen as a function of the specific working place concentration and quantity of hazardous substances. For special purposes, it is recommended to check the resistance to chemicals of the protective gloves mentioned above together with the supplier of these gloves.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Eye Protection

Use eye protection according to EN 166.

๐Ÿ˜ท Respiratory Protection

Respiratory protection necessary at: insufficient ventilation, dust formation, exceeding exposure limit values Suitable respiratory protective equipment: Full-/half-/quarter-face masks (EN 136/140) Filtering device (full mask or mouthpiece) with filter: P

๐Ÿฆบ Skin/Body Protection

Wear suitable protective clothing.

๐ŸŒ Environmental Exposure Controls

Avoid release to the environment.
