Emergency First Aid Measures
Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies
๐ซ Inhalation Exposure
Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. If unconscious but breathing normally, place in recovery position and seek medical advice. No mouth-to-mouth or mouth-to-nose resuscitation. Use Ambu bag or ventilator.
๐๏ธ Skin Contact
Remove contaminated, saturated clothing immediately. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
Symptoms:
skin irritation, corrosive injuries
๐๏ธ Eye Contact
Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. In case of contact with eyes flush immediately with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes holding eyelids apart and consult an ophthalmologist.
Symptoms:
Eye irritation
๐ฝ๏ธ Ingestion/Swallowing
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person or a person with cramps. IF SWALLOWED: rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting.
๐จ Immediate Medical Attention Required
In case of accident or unwellness, seek medical advice immediately (show directions for use or safety data sheet if possible). If unconscious but breathing normally, place in recovery position and seek medical advice. In case of skin irritation, consult a physician. Immediate medical treatment required because corrosive injuries that are not treated are hard to cure. In case of contact with eyes consult an ophthalmologist.
Medical Treatment
Treat symptomatically.
