Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
In de frisse lucht brengen. Pas geassisteerde ademhaling toe als de ademhaling tot stilstand is gekomen of bij zware ademhaling. Ook moet mogelijk extra zuurstof worden toegediend. Als het hart tot stilstand is gekomen, moet getraind personeel onmiddellijk overgaan tot cardiopulmonaire resuscitatie. In geval van ademnood zuurstof toedienen.
Symptoms: Blootstelling aan atmosferen met onvoldoende zuurstof kan de volgende symptomen veroorzaken: Duizeligheid. Vorming van speeksel. Misselijkheid. Braken. Verlies van bewustzijn.
In geval van bevriezings letsel onmiddellijk medische hulp inroepen. Zo vlug mogelijk het getroffen deel in een warm waterbad met een temperatuur van maximum 40 C (105 F) plaatsen. De wond steriel afdekken.
Symptoms: Bevriezings letsel.
Bij aanraking met de ogen onmiddellijk met veel water spoelen en deskundig medisch advies inwinnen. Tijdens spoelen ogen goed open houden.
Inslikken wordt niet waarschijnlijk geacht.
Immediate Medical Attention
Waarschuw een arts. Bij aanraking met de ogen deskundig medisch advies inwinnen. In geval van bevriezings letsel onmiddellijk medische hulp inroepen.

Natuurlijk of mechanisch ventilatie om te voorkomen dat er minder dan 19,5% zuurstof is in de atmosfeer. Houd persluchtapparatuur bij de hand voor gebruikin een noodtoestand.
Gebruik stevige werkhandschoenen tijdens het werken met containers. Als bij gebruik de kans op blootstelling aan koel vloeistof bestaat, draag dan gemakkelijk dragende, temperatuurgesoleerde handschoenen of koelvloeistofhandschoenen. De levensduur van de gekozen handschoen(en) moet groter zijn dan de voorgenomen gebruiksduur.
Het is aangeraden een veiligheidsbril te dragen bij het werken met de cilinders (flessen). Bescherm ogen, gelaat en huid tegen vloeistofspatten.
Gebruik persluchtapparatuur. Ademhalingstoestellen die de lucht zuiveren bieden geen bescherming. Gebruikers van ademhalingsapparatuur (perslucht) moeten geoefend zijn.
Sta nooit toe dat onbeschermde delen van het lichaam niet gesoleerde leidingen of vaten met cryogene vloeistoffen aanraken. De huid zal vastkleven aan het uitzonderlijk koude metaal en scheuren als men zich probeert los te maken. Tijdens het werken met cilinders is het aangeraden veiligheidsschoenen te dragen.
