First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

No special treatment required.

Skin contact

After skin contact wipe off excess material with cloth or paper. Use a waterless hand cleaner to remove as much of the remaining material as possible. Wash with soap and water.

Eye contact

If contact with eyes, immediately hold eyelids apart and flush with plenty of water for at least 15 min.

Ingestion

No special measures are required after swallowing.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

water-mist , carbon dioxide , sand , dry chemical or alcohol-resistant foam .

Unsuitable media

water-spray , sharp water jet .

Specific hazards

This material does not present any unusual fire or explosion hazards.

Instructions

Cool endangered containers with water.

Firefighter Protection

Fire fighters should wear full protective clothing including a self-contained breathing apparatus.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

If material is released indicate risk of slipping. Do not walk through spilled material. Close leak if possible without risk.

Small spill

For small amounts: Absorb with a liquid binding material such as diatomaceous earth and dispose of according to local/state/federal regulations.

Large spill

Contain larger amounts and pump up into suitable containers.

Environmental

Prevent material from entering surface waters, drains or sewers and soil.

Cleanup methods

Take up mechanically. Absorb with a liquid binding material. Contain larger amounts and pump up into suitable containers. Clean any slippery coating that remains using a detergent / soap solution or another biodegradable cleaner. Apply sand or other inert granular material to improve traction.

Materials: liquid binding material such as diatomaceous earth, detergent / soap solution or another biodegradable cleaner, sand or other inert granular material

07

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Spilled substance increases risk of slipping. Liquid-silicone-based materials have lubricating properties that can substantially reduce or eliminate traction and may pose a slip hazard. Please use warning labels on consumer products where traction is essential for safety.

Storage

Keep container tightly closed. Store in a dry and cool place.

Fire prevention

Observe the general rules for fire prevention.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Use with adequate ventilation. Local exhaust: not necessary

Hands

Recommendation: Any liquid-tight rubber or vinyl gloves.

Eyes

Recommendation: Safety glasses with side shields.

Respiratory

Respiratory protection is not normally required.

Skin/Body

Additional protective clothing or equipment is not normally required.
