Emergency First Aid Measures
Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies
Inhalation Exposure
Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Obtain medical assistance. Remove all contaminated clothing and footwear.
Skin Contact
Wash skin with plenty of water. Take off contaminated clothing. Wash clothing before re-using. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
Symptoms:
May cause an allergic skin reaction.
Eye Contact
Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Rinse immediately and thoroughly, pulling the eyelids well away from the eye (15 minutes minimum). Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention. Obtain medical attention if pain, blinking or redness persists.
Symptoms:
May cause severe irritation.
Ingestion/Swallowing
Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor. Never attempt to induce vomiting. Do not give an unconscious person anything to drink.
Medical Treatment
Treat symptomatically.
Fire Fighting Measures & Emergency Response
Fire suppression methods, extinguishing media, and firefighting safety procedures
Suitable Extinguishing Media
Water spray. Dry powder. Carbon dioxide.
Unsuitable Extinguishing Media
Do not use a heavy water stream.
Specific Fire Hazards
Fire hazard: Cool containers / tanks with spray water if possible. Explosion hazard: Heating may cause an explosion. Reactivity in case of fire: Hazardous vapours may be released.
Fire Fighting Instructions
Get the package away from the fire if this can be done without risk.
Firefighter Protection Equipment
Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. Self-contained breathing apparatus. Complete protective clothing.
Accidental Release Measures & Spill Response
Emergency spill cleanup procedures, containment methods, and environmental protection
Emergency Procedures
Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Stop leak if safe to do so. Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. For further information refer to section 8: "Exposure controls/personal protection".
Environmental Precautions
Avoid release to the environment.
Cleanup Methods
Contain or absorb spilled liquid with non-combustible material.
Cleanup Materials:
non-combustible material.
