First Aid

Emergency First Aid Measures

Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies

Inhalation Exposure

Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Give oxygen or artificial respiration if necessary. If experiencing respiratory symptoms: Call a poison center or a doctor.

Symptoms:

May cause respiratory irritation.

Skin Contact

Gently wash with plenty of soap and water. Take off contaminated clothing. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.

Symptoms:

irritation (itching, redness, blistering).

Eye Contact

Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Obtain medical attention if pain, blinking or redness persists.

Symptoms:

Causes serious eye damage.

Ingestion/Swallowing

Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting. Go into open air and ventilate suspected area. Get medical advice/attention.

Symptoms:

Abdominal pain, nausea.

Immediate Medical Attention Required

Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell. If experiencing respiratory symptoms: Call a poison center or a doctor. Obtain medical attention if pain, blinking or redness persists. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention. Get medical advice/attention (after ingestion). Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
