Emergency First Aid Measures

Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies

๐Ÿซ Inhalation Exposure

Call a physician immediately. lf breathing is dificult, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comortable for breathing. lf the victim is unconscious : Lay in a stable manner on victim's side. lnduce artificial respiration with mask itted with one-way valve or other suitable device: not mouthto-mouth.

Symptoms:

Aspiration of the product into the lungs may cause very serious pneumonia. Depression of the central nervous system, headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, loss o coordination.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Skin Contact

Remove affected clothing and wash all exposed skin areas with mild soap and water, ollowed by warm water rinse. lf skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Symptoms:

lrritation (itching, redness, blistering).

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Eye Contact

lF lN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. lf eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/atlenlion.

Symptoms:

Mild eye irritation. Redness, itching, tears.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Ingestion/Swallowing

Call a physician immediately. Do NOT induce vomiting. lf vomiting occurs, the head should be kept low so that vomit does not enter the lungs.

Symptoms:

May be fatal i swallowed and enters ainvays. Risk o lung edema. Risk o product entering the lungs on vomiting after ingestion. Pulmonary edema.

Exposure Controls & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and required safety equipment

๐Ÿญ Engineering Controls

Ensure good ventilation o the work station. Use general ventilation, local xhaust ventilation, or process enclosure to keep the airborne concentrations below the permissible exposure limits. Emergency eye wash fountains and saety showers should be available in the immediate vicinig o any potential exposure.

๐Ÿงค Hand Protection

Wear protective gloves. Wear suitable gloves resistant to chemical penetration

๐Ÿฆบ Skin/Body Protection

Wear suitable protective clothing. Flame retardant antistatic proteclive clothing

๐ŸŒ Environmental Exposure Controls

Avoid release to the environment. Take measures to reduce or limit air emissions and releases to soil and the aquatic environment.
