First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Keep at rest. Move to fresh air. Consult a physician if necessary.

Symptoms: May cause irritation of respiratory tract. Inhalation of high vapour concentrations may cause symptoms like headache, dizziness, tiredness, nausea and vomiting.

Skin contact

After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Consult a physician if necessary.

Symptoms: May be irritating.

Eye contact

Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Consult a physician if necessary.

Symptoms: Contact with eyes may cause irritation.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth. Drink plenty of water. Obtain medical attention.

Symptoms: Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.

Immediate Medical Attention

Not applicable.

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Ensure adequate ventilation. Use only in area provided with appropriate exhaust ventilation. Organisational measures to prevent /limit releases, dispersion and exposure

Hands

Nitrile rubber, Polyvinyl alcohol, Rubber gloves, Neoprene gloves . (EN374) The selection of specific gloves for a specific application and time of use in a working area, should also take into account other factors on the working space, such as (but not limited to): other chemicals that are possibly used, physical requirements (protection against cutting/drilling, skill, thermal protection), and the instructions/specification of the supplier of gloves.

Eyes

Safety glasses with side-shields, Goggles (EN 166)

Respiratory

In case of insufficient ventilation wear suitable respiratory equipment. Respirator with a full face mask (EN 136) Respirator with a half face mask (EN 140) Recommended Filter type: (Type A - EN 141) High concentrations can remove oxygen and cause dizziness or suffocation. Use compressed air or fresh air breathing apparatus in closed compartments. EN 138/269 / EN139/137

Skin/Body

Overalls, apron and boots recommended.

Environmental

Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.,Comply with applicable Community environmental protection legislation.
