First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, get medical aid.

Skin contact

In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse.

Eye contact

In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses. Get medical aid immediately.

Ingestion

If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Get medical aid immediately. If victim is fully conscious, give a cupful of water (max. 2 cups). Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Work under a safety cabinet.

Hands

Use of nitrile gloves with good to very good chemical resistance. The selected protective gloves must meet the specifications of EC Directive 2016/425 and the EN 374 standard derived from it.

Eyes

Use equipment for eye protection tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or EN 166(EU). Tightly fitting safety goggles.

Respiratory

Work under a safety cabinet.

Skin/Body

Flame retardant antistatic protective laboratory clothing.

Environmental

Do not let product enter drains. Explosion risk.
