First Aid

Emergency First Aid Measures

Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies

Inhalation Exposure

Take affected persons out of danger area and lay down. Provide oxygen treatment if affected person has difficulty breathing. In case of irregular breathing or respiratory arrest provide artificial respiration. Use a respiratory bag or breathing device. Call a doctor immediately.

Symptoms:

difficulty breathing, irregular breathing, respiratory arrest

Skin Contact

Immediately rinse with plenty of water.

Eye Contact

Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Then consult a doctor.

Ingestion/Swallowing

Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. Make victim drink ethanol (e.g. 1 drinking glass of a 40% alcoholic beverage). Call for a doctor immediately.

Immediate Medical Attention Required

Call a doctor immediately (after inhalation, after swallowing). Consult a doctor (after eye contact).
