First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Remove patient to fresh air - move out of dangerous area. If symptoms develop and persist, seek medical attention.
Symptoms: Breathing dust can irritate the respiratory tract. Coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, labored breathing.
Immediately remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected skin areas thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. If symptoms occur, seek medical attention.
Symptoms: Contact with skin may cause irritation (redness, itching).
Immediately flush eyes with running water, keeping eyelids apart. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. If irritation persists, seek professional medical attention.
Symptoms: Contact with eyes can cause irritation (redness, tearing, pain).
Rinse mouth with water and drink a glass of water by sips! In case of doubt or if feeling unwell seek medical help.
Symptoms: May cause nausea/vomiting and diarrhea. May cause abdominal discomfort.
Immediate Medical Attention
When in doubt or if feeling unwell seek medical assistance. If irritation persists, seek professional medical attention.
Medical Treatment
Treat symptomatically.
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Full water jet.
In case of a fire toxic gases can be generated; do not inhale gases/smoke.
In case of fire or heating do not breathe fumes/vapours. No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Fight fire from a reasonable distance. Cool containers at risk with water spray. If possible remove containers from endangered area.
Firefighter Protection
In case of fire or heating do not breathe fumes/vapours. No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Firefighters should wear appropriate protective clothing for firefighters (including helmets, protective boots and gloves) (BS EN 469) and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full face-piece (BS EN 137).
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Prevent access to unprotected personnel. Evacuate the danger zone. Avoid breathing dust. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
If accidental large entry into water or ground occurs, inform responsible authorities.
Do not allow product to reach water/drains/sewage systems or permeable soil. If accidental large entry into water or ground occurs, inform responsible authorities.
Take up mechanically and collect in suitable container and dispose according to current regulations. Collect the product and recycle it for reuse. Clean contaminated area with plenty of water. Collect and dispose of contaminated washing water.

Handling and Storage
Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements
Ensure adequate ventilation. Keep away from sources of ignition - no smoking.
Follow label instructions. Store in accordance with local regulations. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Keep away from incompatible products (see section 10). Keep away from acids. Keep away from oxidising substances. Keep in tightly closed container. Do not store in unlabelled containers. Protect from physical damage. Keep in a locked place. Close opened containers after use. Put the containers upright to prevent from leaking. The floor of the storage room must be impermeable and dam spilled liquid. The drainage must not lead to sewage.
Regular cleaning of equipment, work area and clothing is recommended. Avoid breathing dust. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Wear suitable protective equipment; see Section 8. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Do not enter storage areas and confined spaces unless adequately ventilated. Do not eat, drink or smoke while working. Before eating, drinking or smoking leave the work area and wash your hands and any other exposed areas with mild soap and water. Remove contaminated clothes and wash them before reuse. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety procedures.
Keep away from sources of ignition - no smoking.
Exposure Controls / PPE
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment
Use good personal hygiene practices – wash hands at breaks and when done working with material. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Do not eat, drink or smoke while working. Do not breathe dust. Practice good housekeeping. Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep worker exposure to airborne contaminants below any recommended or statutory limits. If ventilation is not adequate, use appropriate respiratory protection. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs.
Use chemical resistant gloves classified according to standard BS EN ISO 374. To choose the appropriate protective gloves, consult the protective glove manufacturer. The glove material must be impermeable and resistant to the product / the substance / the preparation. Considering the parameters specified by the glove manufacturer, check during use that the gloves are still retaining their protective properties. Observe the manufacturer's instructions regarding the use, storage, maintenance and replacement of gloves. In case of damage or at the first signs of wear and tear, change the gloves immediately. Appropriate materials include nitrile rubber and Butyl rubber.
Tight fitting protective goggles (BS EN ISO 16321-1:2022). Eye protection worn must be compatible with respiratory protection system employed.
Use a properly fitted, air-purifying or air-fed respirator complying with an approved standard if a risk assessment indicates this is necessary. If concentration of airborne dust is elevated wear mask (EN 136) with filter P (EN 143). 'High/elevated concentrations' means that the occupational exposure limit values have been exceeded. For dust/gas/ vapor concentrations above the applicable filter limit, in case of oxygen concentrations below 17% or in vague conditions, autonomous self-contained breathing apparatus should be used, according to standard BS EN 137, BS EN 138.
Cotton protective clothing and shoes that cover the entire foot (BS EN ISO 20345:2022+A1:2024). In the event of dust wear protective clothing that is impervious to dust (BS EN ISO 13982-1).
Do not allow product to reach water/drains/sewage systems or permeable soil.
