In case of burn injury immediately get medical attention. Seek immediate medical attention/advice for eye contact and ingestion.

Medical Treatment

Treat symptomatically.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

All types of extinguishing media are suitable. Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.

Unsuitable media

Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.

Specific hazards

Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating and toxic gases and vapours.

Instructions

Use water spray jet to protect personnel and to cool endangered containers.

Firefighter Protection

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Keep unprotected persons away from molten/hot product if released. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and inhalation of vapours.

Environmental

Do not allow into any sewer, on the ground or into any body of water.

Cleanup methods

Absorb with earth, sand or other non-combustible material and transfer to containers for later disposal.

Handling

Not to be used by pregnant workers and workers who have recently given birth or who are breastfeeding. Ensure adequate ventilation. Design work place in such a way that splashes from hot product is prevented. Use personal protection recommended in

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Emergency shower and eye wash facilities must exist in the work place. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Hands

Wear protective gloves. Heat resistant gloves are recommended when handling molten materials. Ensure that the breakthrough time of the glove material is not exceeded. Refer to glove supplier for information on breakthrough time for specific gloves. Gloves must conform to standard EN 374. /. ANSI/ISEA 105-2016.

Eyes

Tight sealing safety goggles. Face protection shield.

Respiratory

If technical exhaust or ventilation measures are not possible or insufficient, respiratory protection must be worn. APF 10; 90%.
