First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Allow victim to breathe fresh air. Allow the victim to rest.

Symptoms: Prolonged exposure may cause irritation. Inhaling fumes of decomposition products can cause temporary influenza-like symptoms are described as "polymer fume fever". Symptoms include fever, cough, and malaise.

Skin contact

Remove affected clothing and wash all exposed skin area with mild soap and water, followed by warm water rinse.

Symptoms: Prolonged exposure may cause skin irritation.

Eye contact

Rinse immediately with plenty of water. Obtain medical attention if pain, blinking or redness persists.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Obtain emergency medical attention.
