First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

IF INHALED: Remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing (P304+P340). Seek medical treatment immediately. In case of respiratory standstill give artifical respiration by respirator and send for a doctor.

Skin contact

In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing immediately, even underwear and shoes. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention (P332+P313).

Eye contact

If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention (P337+P313). IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing (P305+P351+P338).

Ingestion

Do not induce vomiting. Call for a doctor immediately. Provide for plenty of water to be drunken in small gulps (dilution effect). Additionally medical charcoal tablets should be given (1 spoon of medical charcoal suspension in a glass of water).

Immediate Medical Attention

Immediate medical treatment is required after inhalation. In case of respiratory standstill, a doctor should be sent for. If skin irritation occurs or eye irritation persists, get medical advice/attention. Call for a doctor immediately in case of ingestion.

Medical Treatment

If swallowed or in the event of vomiting, risk of entering the lungs. Monitor circulation.
