First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Remove victim immediately from source of exposure. Place unconscious person on the side in the recovery position and ensure breathing Keep the affected person warm and at rest. Get prompt medical attention.
Remove affected person from source of contamination. Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash skin with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation persists after washing.
Make sure to remove any contact lenses from the eyes before rinsing. Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eye lids. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! When risk of unconsciousness, place and transport the victim in secured side position. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues. Never give liquid to an unconscious person.
Immediate Medical Attention
Get prompt medical attention. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Medical Treatment
Treat symptomatically. Treatment of overexposure should be directed at the control of symptoms and the clinical condition of the patient
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
alcohol-resistant foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder or water fog.
Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.
Vapours are heavier than air and may spread near ground to sources of ignition. Gas / vapour flammable with air within explosion limits. Heating may generate vapours which may form explosive vapour/air mixtures.
Avoid breathing fire vapours. Use water to keep fire exposed containers cool and disperse vapours.
Firefighter Protection
Self contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in case of fire.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Stop leak if possible without risk.
Protect drains by covering to avoid any spillage entering the drainage system.
Absorb in vermiculite, dry sand or earth and place into containers. Flush with plenty of water to clean spillage area.
Materials: vermiculite, dry sand or earth
