First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

If breathed in, move person into fresh air. Consult a physician after significant exposure.

Skin contact

Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Rinse immediately with plenty of water.

Eye contact

Rinse with plenty of water. Remove contact lenses. Protect unharmed eye. Keep eye wide open while rinsing. Obtain medical attention.

Ingestion

Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Obtain medical attention.

Medical Treatment

Treat symptomatically.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Alcohol-resistant foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry chemical

Specific hazards

Water spray may be ineffective unless used by experienced firefighters. Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.

Instructions

Use water spray to cool unopened containers.

Firefighter Protection

In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Only qualified personnel equipped with suitable protective equipment may intervene.

Environmental

Prevent product from entering drains.

Cleanup methods

collect with non-combustible absorbent material

Materials: non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite)

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

For personal protection see section 8. Avoid formation of aerosol. Do not breathe vapours or spray mist. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Container may be opened only under exhaust ventilation hood. Open drum carefully as content may be under pressure.

Storage

Store in cool place. Keep in a well-ventilated place.

Hygiene

Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area.

Fire prevention

Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. No sparking tools should be used. Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Effective exhaust ventilation system. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.

Hands

Material : For prolonged or repeated contact use protective gloves. Material : Protective gloves complying with EN 374.

Eyes

Tightly fitting safety goggles

Respiratory

In the case of vapour or aerosol formation use a respirator with an approved filter.

Skin/Body

Protective suit

Environmental

Prevent product from entering drains.
