First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Keep victim warm. Consult a physician if symptoms develop or persist.
Wipe up with absorbent material (e.g. cloth, fleece). Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
Symptoms: Severe eye irritation. Symptoms may include stinging, tearing, redness, swelling, and blurred vision.
Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting without advice from poison control center. If vomiting occurs, keep head low so that stomach content doesn't get into the lungs. Consult a physician.
Immediate Medical Attention
Consult a physician if symptoms develop or persist. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists. IF exposed or concerned: Get medical advice/attention.
Medical Treatment
Provide general supportive measures and treat symptomatically.
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
Water fog. Foam. Dry chemical powder. Carbon dioxide (CO2).
Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.
During fire, gases hazardous to health may be formed.
Wear suitable protective equipment. Keep upwind and extinguish a fire carefully from a reasonable distance. Cool containers exposed to heat with water spray and remove container, if no risk is involved.
Firefighter Protection
Self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in case of fire.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Keep unnecessary personnel away. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Wear appropriate protective equipment and clothing during clean-up. Do not touch damaged containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Wipe up with absorbent material (e.g. cloth, fleece). Clean surface thoroughly to remove residual contamination.
Stop the flow of material, if this is without risk. Dike the spilled material, where this is possible. Dike far ahead of spill for later disposal. Cover with plastic sheet to prevent spreading. Absorb in vermiculite, dry sand or earth and place into containers.
Contain spills and prevent releases and observe national regulations on emissions. Avoid discharge into drains, water courses or onto the ground.

Exposure Controls / PPE
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment
Good general ventilation should be used. Ventilation rates should be matched to conditions. If applicable, use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to maintain airborne levels below recommended exposure limits. If exposure limits have not been established, maintain airborne levels to an acceptable level.
Wear appropriate chemical resistant gloves.
Wear safety glasses with side shields (or goggles) and a face shield.
In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment.
Wear appropriate chemical resistant clothing. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.
