Emergency First Aid Measures
Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies
๐ซ Inhalation Exposure
Move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Do not use mouth-to-mouth resuscitation if victim ingested or inhaled the substance; induce artificial respiration with a respiratory medical device.
Symptoms:
Breathing difficulties. Inhalation of high vapor concentrations may cause symptoms like headache, dizziness, tiredness, nausea and vomiting. Symptoms of allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling, trouble breathing, tingling of the hands and feet, dizziness, lightheadedness, chest pain, muscle pain or flushing.
๐๏ธ Skin Contact
Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
Symptoms:
May cause allergic skin reaction. Symptoms of allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling, trouble breathing, tingling of the hands and feet, dizziness, lightheadedness, chest pain, muscle pain or flushing.
๐๏ธ Eye Contact
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.
Symptoms:
Causes eye burns.
๐ฝ๏ธ Ingestion/Swallowing
Do not induce vomiting. Call a physician or Poison Control Center immediately.
๐จ Immediate Medical Attention Required
Immediate medical attention is required (for eye contact and inhalation). Obtain medical attention (for skin contact). Call a physician or Poison Control Center immediately (for ingestion).
Medical Treatment
Treat symptomatically.
