Notes
Note P : The classification as a carcinogen or mutagen need not apply if it can be shown that the substance contains less than 0,1 % w/w benzene (EINECS No 200-753-7). When the substance is not classified as a carcinogen at least the precautionary statements (P102-)P260-P262- P301 + P310-P331 (Table 3.1) or the S-phrases (2-)23-24-62 (Table 3.2) shall apply. This note applies only to certain complex oil-derived substances in Part 3.
First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Move the affected person away from the contaminated area and into the fresh air. If the person feels unwell : Call a POISON CENTER/doctor.
Symptoms: Drowsiness. Giddiness.
Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Obtain medical attention if pain, blinking or redness persist.
Symptoms: Irritation. Redness. Pain. May cause an allergic skin reaction.
Immediately rinse with water for a prolonged period while holding the eyelids wide open. If irritation persists, consult an eye specialist.
Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice (show the label where possible).
Medical Treatment
Treat symptomatically.
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
Foam. Powder. Carbon dioxide (CO2).
The vapours are denser than air and may travel along the ground. Distance ignition possible.
Evacuate the danger area. Cool down the containers exposed to heat with a water spray.
Firefighter Protection
Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. Complete protective clothing. Self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not breathe smoke. No flames, no sparks. Eliminate all sources of ignition. Do not smoke. In case of important spillage : Mark out the contaminated area with signs and prevent access to unauthorized personnel. Prevent the product from entering drains or confined areas. Ventilate spillage area. Stop leak if safe to do so. Use only non-sparking tools.
Contain the spilled material by bunding (product is hazardous for the environment). Do not discharge into drains or rivers.
Sweep up or vacuum up the product.

Vapour exhaust preferably at emission point. Use explosion-proof equipment. Use non-sparking tools. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not breathe smoke. No flames, no sparks. Eliminate all sources of ignition. Smoking is forbidden. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Do not overheat the product.
Store in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed. Avoid ignition sources. Keep away from naked flames/heat.
Do not drink, eat or smoke in the workplace. Always wash hands after handling the product.
No flames, no sparks. Eliminate all sources of ignition. Smoking is forbidden. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Do not overheat the product. Avoid ignition sources. Keep away from naked flames/heat.
Exposure Controls / PPE
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment
Ensure good ventilation of the work station. Extraction to remove vapours at their source.
Nitrile-rubber protective gloves. Protective gloves made of PVA. The protective gloves to be used must comply with the specifications of the regulation 2016/425 and the resultant standard EN 374. Breakthrough time : refer to the recommendations of the supplier
Safety glasses
If vapour is released : Aerosol filter type A
