First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

In case of persistent throat irritation or coughing: Seek medical attention and bring these instructions.

Symptoms: persistent throat irritation or coughing

Skin contact

Remove affected person from source of contamination. Promptly wash contaminated skin with soap or mild detergent and water. Promptly remove clothing if soaked through and wash as above.

Eye contact

Immediately flush with plenty of water for up to 15 minutes. Remove any contact lenses and open eyelids widely. If irritation persists: Continue flushing during transport to hospital. Bring these instructions.

Ingestion

Immediately rinse mouth and drink plenty of water or milk. Keep person under observation. Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, keep head low. Transport immediately to hospital and take these instructions.

Immediate Medical Attention

Get medical attention if any discomfort continues. If in doubt, GET MEDICAL ATTENTION PROMPTLY! In case of persistent throat irritation or coughing, seek medical attention. If eye irritation persists, continue flushing during transport to hospital. For ingestion, transport immediately to hospital.
