First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Move to fresh air. Call a physician immediately.

Skin contact

Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water removing all contaminated clothes and shoes. Call a physician immediately.

Eye contact

In case of eye contact, remove contact lens and rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Keep eye wide open while rinsing. Call a physician immediately.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a physician immediately.

Immediate Medical Attention

Call a physician immediately.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding fire.

Unsuitable media

Never use water.

Specific hazards

Heating or fire can release toxic gas.

Firefighter Protection

As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Use personal protective equipment. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Environmental

Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Should not be released into the environment.

Cleanup methods

Soak up with inert absorbent material. Shovel into suitable container for disposal. Clean contaminated surface thoroughly.

Materials: inert absorbent material (such as sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust)

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Wear personal protective equipment. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. When diluting, always add the product to water. Never add water to the product. Be aware the risk of heat release at diluting.

Storage

Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep in properly labelled containers. Store in original container. Do not freeze. Do not re-use empty containers.

Hygiene

Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use.
