First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
In case of accident by inhalation: remove casualty to fresh air and keep at rest. In case of allergic symptoms, especially in the breathing area, seek medical advice immediately. Apply cortisone spray at early stage.
Remove contaminated, saturated clothing immediately. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
Symptoms: skin irritation or rash
Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Consult an ophthalmologist.
Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Let water be drunken in little sips (dilution effect). Do NOT induce vomiting. Call a physician in any case!
Immediate Medical Attention
In case of accident or unwellness, seek medical advice immediately. In case of allergic symptoms, especially in the breathing area, seek medical advice immediately. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention. Consult an ophthalmologist. Call a physician in any case!
Medical Treatment
Treat symptomatically.
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
Carbon dioxide (CO2). Dry extinguishing powder. alcohol resistant foam. Atomized water.
High power water jet.
In case of fire may be liberated: Carbon monoxide Carbon dioxide (CO2). Sulphur oxides. Nitrogen oxides (NOx). Ammonia (NH3)
Co-ordinate fire-fighting measures to the fire surroundings.
Firefighter Protection
Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing. In case of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Provide adequate ventilation. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Wear personal protection equipment. (See section 8.) High slip hazard because of leaking or spilled product.
Discharge into the environment must be avoided. Prevent spread over a wide area (e.g. by containment or oil barriers).
Absorb with liquid-binding material (e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents). Clean contaminated articles and floor according to the environmental legislation.
Materials: liquid-binding material (e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents)

Handling and Storage
Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements
Wear suitable protective clothing. (See section 8.) Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes.
Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep the packing dry and well sealed to prevent contamination and absorption of humidity.
See section 8.
Usual measures for fire prevention.
Exposure Controls / PPE
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment
If local exhaust ventilation is not possible or not sufficient, the entire working area should be ventilated by technical means.
Pull-over gloves of rubber. Suitable material: Butyl rubber. (penetration time (maximum wearing period): >= 8 h): Before using check leak tightness / impermeability. In the case of wanting to use the gloves again, clean them before taking off and air them well. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it.
Tightly sealed safety glasses. DIN EN 166
With correct and proper use, and under normal conditions, breathing protection is not required. Respiratory protection necessary at: insufficient ventilation., exceeding exposure limit values. Suitable respiratory protective equipment: Combination filtering device (EN 14387) Type : A/P1-3. The filter class must be suitable for the maximum contaminant concentration (gas/vapour/aerosol/particulates) that may arise when handling the product. If the concentration is exceeded, self-contained breathing apparatus must be used.
Suitable protective clothing: Lab apron. Minimum standard for preventive measures while handling with working materials are specified in the TRGS 500 (D).
No special precautionary measures are necessary.
