First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him immobile. Seek medical treatment immediately. In case of respiratory standstill give artifical respiration by respirator and send for a doctor.
In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing immediately, even underwear and shoes. Consult a doctor if skin irritation persists.
In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
If swallowed seek medical advice immediately and show the doctor packing or label. Provide for plenty of water to be drunken in small gulps (dilution effect). Additionally medical charcoal tablets should be given (1 spoon of medical charcoal suspension in a glass of water).
Symptoms: Gastrointestinal complaints
Immediate Medical Attention
Seek medical treatment immediately (for inhalation). If swallowed seek medical advice immediately. Medical supervision for at least 48 hours necessary.
Medical Treatment
If swallowed, induce vomiting (if conscious). If swallowed flush stomach, then activated charcoal (carbo medicalis) and sodium sulfate.
