Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

do not ingest as such, avoid contact with the product, do not smoke in areas where the product is handled, do not heat with direct flame nor expose the vapours to a flame or any source of ignition. When incorporating the product to the production batch, it must be kept at a relatively low temperature. When the temperature needs to be increased, it should be done in a limited way and for the shortest possible time. Do not inhale warm vapours.

Storage

Store in closed containers, away from heat sources, protected from excessive temperature (see technical data sheet).

Hygiene

do not smoke in areas where the product is handled, avoid contact with the product, do not ingest as such

Fire prevention

do not heat with direct flame nor expose the vapours to a flame or any source of ignition.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Provide an appropriate ventilation. If necessary, extract vapours directly from the emission source.

Hands

gloves.

Eyes

safety glasses.

Respiratory

generally not necessary in well ventilated areas (unless specifically mentioned). For powdered products, the use of an approved mask is recommended.

Skin/Body

special clothes.

Environmental

Please refer to local regulations concerning environmental protection (control of air pollutants emission, industrial waste management, effluent treatment for example...)
